DIY Project: Make Your Own Crochet Jewellery

Welcome back!

Family life has kept me away from blogging for quite a long time. Boys’ first weeks at school have been a challenge and needed my full attention. Things are rolling smoothly now and I am back to my favorite hooks and needles.

How about you? Are you ready for the easiest crochet project ever?

Making crochet jewellery is one of the most enjoyable DIY projects one can imagine. You can use fancy yarn, scrap yarn, twine, rafia, embroidery thread and any yarny material you like. Handmade jewellery are the best way to experiment with materials and stitches, to express your creativity and enjoy the fulfillment of a unique and quick DIY project, nonetheless wear your own creation or give a handcrafted gift.

The pattern can be used to make either a pair of earrings or a bracelet.

A crochet hook matching your yarn size, mine is 2,5mm

2 Folder clips for the bracelet

A few chains and a clasp

Repeat Row 2. Make 2. Block if you want a firm square or leave as is if you like a more loose result.

To finalize, use your pliers and attach an earring hook to each earring.

The bracelet is 5cm (2in) wide and 15cm (6in) long (after blocking)

Ch. 22

Tip

Slip Stitch or Single Crochet around the earrings and the bracelet for a more firm-shaped accessory .
